2019 Ford Escape Configurations
The 2019 Escape is a versatile vehicle that gives you four different trim levels to choose from:
- S, SE, SEL, Titanium
These Ford Escape trim levels all come with different powertrain configurations that allow you to create the best driving experience for you. The Ford Escape powertrain and trim level configurations are as follows:
Ford Escape S | Ford Escape SE/SEL | Ford Escape Titanium | |
Engine | 2.5L I-4 | 1.5L EcoBoost® I-4 | 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 |
Horsepower | 168 horsepower | 179 horsepower | 245 horsepower |
Torque | 170 lb-ft | 177 lb-ft | 275 lb-ft |
Drivetrain | Front-Wheel Drive | Front-Wheel Drive/ 4-Wheel Drive | Front-Wheel Drive/ 4-Wheel Drive |
All configurations also include a smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic transmission that optimizes performance and efficiency.

To further improve efficiency, both EcoBoost® engines include Auto Start-Stop Technology. This feature prevents unnecessary fuel waste by powering down your engine during stops at red lights or in traffic. When you hit the accelerator, your engine seamlessly comes back to life.
All four configurations also make front-wheel drive (FWD) the standard drivetrain, but the SE, SEL, and Titanium trim levels also have an available Intelligent 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) system. This system actively monitors your roadway conditions and automatically redistributes torque as necessary to help you maintain a firm grip on the road.
Safety Features in the 2019 Escape
Though
there's no substitute for safe and vigilant driving, the 2019 Ford
Escape makes several features available to help you stay aware of your
surroundings. These are part of the Ford Safe and Smart™ Package, which
includes:
- Rain-sensing windshield wipers
- Auto high-beam headlamps
- Lane-Keeping System
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support
This package also includes BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System). BLIS® helps you merge safely in crowded areas by providing a visual cue on your sideview mirrors when cars enter your side blind spots.

To help young drivers develop safe habits, all trim levels also come standard with MyKey® technology. With this remote feature, you can set top speed limits, block certain radio stations, and set audio volume limits.
Ford Escape Interior
Though the Ford Escape may be compact, it still feels incredibly spacious when you climb inside the cabin. It feels even bigger, as well, when you open the shade on the available Panoramic Vista Roof® and let in more natural light.
In total, you can seat five passengers while still having enough trunk space for 34 cubic feet of luggage. Fold down the rear seats, and you'll be able to fit 68 cubic feet of cargo.
You can decorate the seats in whatever way suits your style, with cloth and leather fabric choices in Charcoal Black or Medium Light Stone. You're sure to feel comfortable and in control, as well, with an available 10-way adjustable driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support.
