Several interior ergonomic enhancements are featured on the 2017 Ford Escape. First of all there is a shifter that has been relocated and a brand-new electronic parking brake that have freed up room for redesigned cup holders and new phone cubbies. The steering wheel has been redesigned so that it feels and looks better. The center armrest now is more convenient since it can hold more stuff under the lid. The most recent Sync 3 infotainment system is much more intuitive and easy to use.
The 2017 Ford Escape has three trim levels: S, SE, and Titanium. The base S model uses a naturally aspirated 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine. Both the SE and Titanium trims come with a turbocharged 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that can develop 179 hp. Both of these engines come with an auto stop-start system where the engine automatically shuts down when it is idling such as at a stoplight. It restarts when the light turns green. This reduces fuel consumption as well as emissions.
